Character Matching Algorithm
This page explains the scoring logic, character matching system and personality models used by the KisilikTipi.com personality test.
Contents
Algorithm Overview
The final result is not based on a single answer. Instead, it is calculated from the overall behavioral pattern formed by all responses.
User responses are collected.
MBTI, Enneagram and Big Five candidate scores are calculated.
SLOAN axes and behavioral indicators are generated.
The profile is compared against hundreds of characters.
Characters with the highest similarity scores are displayed.
How Are Answers Processed?
Each question contributes to different personality dimensions. The system never relies on a single answer; instead, all responses are evaluated together to identify behavioral patterns.
Every answer contributes
Each selected option contributes to one or more personality models with different weights.
No single question decides
No individual question determines the MBTI, Enneagram or Big Five result. The final profile emerges from the entire assessment.
Multiple models work together
MBTI, Enneagram, Big Five and behavioral indicators are calculated independently before being combined.
Behavioral patterns matter
The algorithm focuses on recurring behavioral patterns rather than isolated answers.
People cannot be accurately described by a single trait. Combining multiple personality models allows the system to generate a more balanced profile.
MBTI Calculation
Responses are evaluated across all sixteen personality types. The final result considers the overall distribution of candidate types rather than relying solely on the highest score.
All sixteen types are evaluated
The algorithm scores every MBTI type simultaneously throughout the assessment.
Candidate types are preserved
Types with similar scores are retained, allowing the system to represent personality as a spectrum of likely candidates.
Cognitive functions provide additional support
MBTI estimation is reinforced using cognitive function tendencies rather than relying only on letter combinations.
Not a clinical diagnosis
MBTI is not a diagnostic tool. Results are presented to describe behavioral preferences and personality tendencies.
Example MBTI Candidate Scores
| Type | Score |
|---|---|
| INTJ | 91 |
| INFJ | 87 |
| INTP | 82 |
| ENTJ | 76 |
Actual values vary depending on the user's responses.
Enneagram Calculation
The Enneagram analysis focuses not only on observable behavior but also on the motivations and fears behind it. All nine core types and possible wings are evaluated.
Nine core types are evaluated
Every Enneagram type is scored throughout the assessment to produce probability estimates.
Wing calculation
After identifying the primary type, adjacent types are evaluated to estimate the most likely wing.
Motivation-focused
The Enneagram attempts to explain why a behavior occurs, not only what behavior is observed.
Improves character matching
Many fictional characters share the same MBTI type. Enneagram data helps distinguish between them and improves matching accuracy.
Example Enneagram Candidates
| Type | Score |
|---|---|
| 5w6 | 89 |
| 1w9 | 84 |
| 6w5 | 81 |
| 9w1 | 77 |
Actual values depend on the user's responses.
Big Five & SLOAN Profile
The assessment evaluates personality using continuous behavioral dimensions in addition to personality types, providing a more detailed personality profile.
Five major dimensions
Responses are evaluated across five major personality dimensions to build a behavioral profile.
SLOAN profile
These values are mapped to the SLOAN personality system, providing an additional personality profile.
Continuous measurement
Instead of assigning people to rigid categories, this model measures different levels across each personality dimension.
Supports character matching
Big Five and SLOAN results provide an additional validation layer for character matching.
Example SLOAN Dimensions
| Dimension | Value |
|---|---|
| Social | 81 |
| Calm | 42 |
| Organized | 76 |
| Accommodating | 63 |
| Inquisitive | 88 |
Actual values vary depending on user responses.
Character Matching
Each fictional character has an individual personality profile. Your test results are compared against every profile in the database to calculate similarity scores.
Character profiles
Each character includes a profile consisting of MBTI, Enneagram and additional behavioral indicators.
Multi-model comparison
User profiles are compared using multiple personality models rather than relying on a single characteristic.
Similarity score
A similarity score is calculated for every character, and the highest scoring matches are presented.
Continuously improved
The matching system evolves as the character database grows and personality analyses are refined.
Two characters may share the same MBTI type while having different Enneagram profiles, behavioral tendencies and personality characteristics. Character matching therefore goes beyond MBTI alone.
Why Can the Same MBTI Produce Different Character Matches?
MBTI is an important indicator, but it is not the whole picture. Characters with the same MBTI type can differ significantly in motivation, decision-making and behavioral patterns.
Walter White
Sharing Walter White’s MBTI type does not necessarily mean sharing his overall personality. Motivations and behavioral dynamics are also considered.
Thomas Shelby
Characters such as Thomas Shelby may share similar cognitive preferences while differing substantially in Enneagram profile and behavioral tendencies.
Gus Fring
As seen with Gus Fring, characters sharing the same MBTI can still differ in discipline, risk-taking and interpersonal style.
What Does the Algorithm Aim To Do?
The goal is not simply to find characters with the same MBTI, but to identify those whose overall personality patterns are most similar.
Character matches are generated using multiple personality models and behavioral patterns rather than relying solely on the four-letter MBTI type.
Limitations
No personality model can fully describe human behavior. This system combines multiple approaches to produce more balanced and consistent personality estimates.
Not a diagnostic tool
Results should not be interpreted as psychological or clinical diagnoses.
Character profiles are interpretative
Fictional character profiles are based on behavioral analysis, available literature and editorial interpretation.
Continuously evolving
New characters, analyses and algorithm improvements are added regularly.
